Description

With a rugged chassis designed for remote locations on the edge, HPE ProLiant m510 Server Cartridge is designed for HPE’s Edgeline EL1000 or EL4000 chassis, each of which can support up to 1 server chassis. It’s also compatible with HPE’s Moonshot platform, which can support up to 45 server cartridges. It offers most of the benefits of the more expensive 1P and 2P servers for a fraction of the power and cooling costs. Intel Xeon Processors bring performance and advanced intelligence to a dense, lower-power, system-on-a-chip platform. With enhanced reliability, availability, serviceability features, platform storage extensions, and built-in hardware virtualization.

Performance

The HPE m510 server cartridge features Intel’s Xeon D-1548 or D-1587 processor. Each of these processors provide the power for optimizing a variety of workloads, with up to 16 cores per server cartridge.

Storage

The system supports a maximum of two NVMe M.2 flash storage modules and one 240GB SATA M.2 for local OS booting. With these options users can achieve up to 2.03TB of storage.

Memory

Up to 128GB of DDR4 Registered memory modules (RDIMM) can be installed on this system using four DIMM slots outfitted with 32GB memory modules. It comes with Patrol and Demand scrubbing which detects and corrects memory errors by periodically inspecting the entire memory space.

Expansion

PCIe slots are present only in the HPE EdgeLine EL1000 or EL4000 Edge System chassis that support the m510 server cartridge. For networking, the cartridge has a Mellanox Connect-X3 Dual 10GbE NIC, per CPU.

Management

The server cartridge features integrated Lights Out (iLO) management module for increased reliability, which is essential for your systems heath. iLO provides the automated intelligence to maintain complete server control from anywhere assuring nothing happens to your memory or work.
